School Survey Results
June 2011 – Results of surveys with Haywood County school counselors and teachers showed that youth who have a Big Brother or Big Sister improved in the following areas:
90% improved relationships with adults
80% improved self-confidence
70% improved relationships with peers
60% improved academic performance
60% improved classroom behavior

Activity for kids 12 – 17
FREE!!! Kids at Work! Through the culinary arts. This is a cooking program where you learn to be a chef, plus you get to eat well. It is designed for afterschool from 3 – 6:30pm 2 days a week and some transportation is available. Call or text Corey at 828 508-3115. Located in Waynesville.
