Big Futures await these capable and skilled graduating BBBS Henderson High School grads! Congrats, guys! (Big Futures is a BBBSWNC initiative that prepares Littles and High School Bigs for life after BBBS.)
BBBS Henderson HS Big Katie plans to attend UNC Chapel Hill to double major in exercise and sport science and psychology. Afterward, she plans to return to school to become a pediatric occupational therapist.
“Being a Big Sister has taught me responsibility, compassion, and how to connect with the next generation,” Katie said. “Most importantly, it allowed me to mentor and become a friend to the sweetest young girl, who I hope was just as excited to see me each week as I was to see her.”
BBBS Henderson HS Big Cayden is going to UNC Chapel Hill to major in biology and exercise science while minoring in accounting. He plans to become a dentist and a certified fitness coach.“Being a Big Brother reminded me how it is to be a kid in elementary school,” Cayden said. “It’s allowed me to see into my Little Brother’s world and to provide him the assistance I wish I had when I was that age. I plan to stay in touch with Brantley as pen pals through college!”
