Lelia Duncan, BBBSWNC President and CEO, recently presented a seminar entitled “Calm Before the Chaos: Building Organizational Resilience” to agencies throughout the BBBS of America federation.
Based upon her and BBBSWNC staffers’ immediate and ongoing response to Hurricane Helene, wildfires, and widespread regional disruption, Lelia helped BBBS leaders nationwide prepare to effectively serve their communities during times of upheaval.
Despite undergoing personal losses, BBBSWNC staff rushed to help not only their BBBS Littles and families but also other residents of affected communities, while supporting each other via texts, phone calls, and muddy work side by side.
Lelia has also written a guidebook used nationally throughout the BBBS organization, “Calm Before the Chaos: Building Organizational Resilience.”
