Here we are at the 114th Cherokee Indian Fair Parade last Saturday. The theme is this year’s fair, submitted by Mariah Mahan Hill, was “Ways Have Changed, but Our Values Remain.”
Here’s what the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians says about the event on their Facebook page:
“This year’s theme reflects the strength of our people and culture. While the world around us continues to change, we remain rooted in the traditions, teachings, and values that define who we are. From our language and arts to our community gatherings and cultural practices, we continue to carry our heritage forward while adapting to today’s world!”
