Let’s give a Big welcome to our first match of 2019!
Big Sister Ruth’s mom had a Little, and a coworker at work is also involved in the program. So once Ruth moved here six months ago, she wanted to get more involved in the community and decided BBBS is a perfect fit for her. She said she has a natural rapport with kids.
Emma said she would like an older sibling to take her places and that it would be fun to get out and do things, since, she said, her own younger sister drives her crazy! Emma was looking for a Big Sister who was not a bratty or a selfish person. She said that she is open to new people and is a nice person herself.
Ruth is very active and into the outdoors. She enjoys rock climbing, hiking, yoga, walking her dog, cooking, and knitting as well as movies, music events and crafts. Emma enjoys the outdoors as well and likes spending time walking around in the woods, movies, reading, going downtown, animals, and writing in journals.
