Today we’re wrapping up BBBS Month with some of the best news ever – NC Gov. Roy Cooper signed this document proclaiming September as Big Brothers Big Sisters Month! The proclamation notes that investing in young people changes their lives by helping them achieve “higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships, avoidance of risky behavior and educational success.”
And because of state Sen. Mujtaba Mohammed and state Rep. Graig Meyer, the Senate and House also issued statements recognizing BBBS Month. Thank you, leaders, and thank you, Dorian Palmer, BBBSWNC Recruitment and Development Specialist, who brought the NC branches of BBBS together to achieve this recognition.
