Mentored school groups take mutual respect into summer

BBBS Buncombe recently wrapped up its group mentoring programs – AC Reynolds 6th Grade Group, AC Reynolds 8th Grade Group, and North Buncombe 7th/8th Grade Group. “It’s been such a great year with all of these kids, and we’re so proud of the connections, growth, and fun that happened throughout the year,” Project MARS member Audrey Crowl said.

“Special shout out to our volunteer group mentors, Charlotte and Benay, who have generously volunteered their time to serve these kids all year long,” Audrey said. “We’re so grateful for the consistency, care, and energy they brought each week.”

We’re giving another shout out to our High School Bigs at Franklin School of Innovation – Salomon, Lucas, Jaden, Maryn, Jupiter, Ivy, Lila, and Charlee – for being such thoughtful, dependable mentors to their Littles this year. “They’ve made a real impact, and we’re lucky to have them as part of the program,” Audrey said.
