BBBS Graham’s duckie derby in Robbinsville was an exciting event.
BBBS Graham County, in collaboration with Snowbird Nest Afterschool, launched close to 700 rubber duckies on Saturday, Oct. 4 that people “adopted” in support of our local work. “We raised over $4,000,” BBBS Program Coordinator Amy Green said. “It was a great event.”
Supporters had a chance at 32 prizes, including one for the last duckie to cross the finish at Robbinsville High School – a fishing rod valued at $180. The grand prize was a $400 gift card to a local lodge in town.
