Little Brother Tony distinguishes himself at summer camp

Little Brother Tony and Big Brother Barry

Big Brother Barry wrote this message to BBBSWNC about his Little Brother Tony, who was this year’s recipient of the Robin Myer Realizing Potential Award.

“Once again Tony proved an outstanding BBBS ambassador at the YMCA’s Camp Watia. To a person, from Shannon Raab on down, everyone sang the praises of Tony for his leadership skills, overall effort, can-do attitude, work ethic, etc. In fact, when we drove out of the pick-up staging area, everyone began chanting his name as if he was some sort of rock star!

“To top it off, they have begun the process of bringing him back in some sort of elevated position for the entire second session. Now if that isn’t high praise I don’t know what is!

“Enjoy the pics of us taken just before Tony’s triumphant departure. Thanks so much for all your efforts in making it happen. You continue to work unselfishly for him and we both truly appreciate all your tireless work.”
