Project MARS/AmeriCorps is recruiting for fall

Project MARS/AmeriCorps is accepting applications for the 2022-2023 service year.

“We are looking for service-minded individuals who are willing to go above and beyond what any normal superhero would do,” Program Director Katie Snow says.

Serving again this year in Cherokee County, Project Mars member Taylor Swain, above, helps distribute food when MANNA FoodBank comes to Hiwassee Dam School each month.

“I was amazed at how many families rely on this service,” she says. “Though I grew up in this community, I don’t think I ever truly realized just how in need many of our community members are,” she says. “I was grateful to serve them, as well as to serve alongside the other dedicated volunteers who return month after month to make sure these families receive the care they deserve.”

“Join us for a year that will leave you all in smiles,” Snow says.
