Donations to support our work in general – and to support our work with our Littles because of rampant wildfires – are deeply appreciated.

If you’d like to make a donation to support our work in general, select an appropriate choice in the drop-down menu below.

If you’d like to make a donation related to our work helping Littles and their families affected by wildfires in our area, select the “Hurricane Relief” button.

As you know, trees downed by Hurricane Helene, compounded by the extended drought the region has suffered, have created tinder-like conditions for the many wildfires that have erupted in the 18 mountain counties that we serve in Western North Carolina.

Our program coordinators have been contacting Littles’ families to make sure they’re aware of fire detection platforms that update users on the status and containment of the wildfires. BBBS staff are also making sure families know about emergency shelters that have opened. BBBSWNC is providing other support while monitoring the situation closely.

Thank you for your help during this trying time. Our staff is going to extra lengths to ensure the emotional and physical health of our Littles, their siblings, and their caregivers.

If you’d rather mail a check, please designate it for whichever option you intend it for (ie, “Wildfire Relief Effort,” “Polk County,” etc.) and send it to 50 S. French Broad Ave., Suite 213, Asheville, NC 28801.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record.
