Last Friday, February 23, Upward Elementary in Hendersonville partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters in an effort to raise extra funds for this year’s Bowl For Kids’ Sake event!
How’d they do it? They declared the day “Hat Day” and permitted every student who brought in a dollar for BBBS to wear a hat of their choosing for the entire day! What a blast! And the results were amazing: these kids raised $168 for this year’s Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraiser!
Many thanks to Upward Elementary for making this effort and hosting this special event and many thanks to all of the awesome students who wore a hat and donated a dollar last Friday! When everyone contributes a little, it can really add up to make big things happen!
