BBBSWNC welcomes new staff in Burke, Cherokee, and Haywood

Meet our new Program Coordinators, Patty Bach, Ronda Phillips, and Halee Hildebran.

Patty Bach

This summer, Patty joined the team as BBBS Haywood County’s Program Coordinator. A former physical education teacher, she owned a doggie day care and grooming facility in Hazelwood before starting with BBBSWNC.

“I am passionate about helping the youth and their potential future,” the former swimming and track & field coach said. Patty loves music, the outdoors, and spending time with family. “I look forward to meeting everyone and experiencing this new journey together,” she said.

Ronda Phillips

Ronda, a retired English teacher, is now a Program Coordinator with BBBS Cherokee County. With a Bachelor’s degree from Mars Hill University and a Master’s from Piedmont University, both in English, she and husband Bryan have two sons. “My commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth remains strong,” she said. “I will continue to make a positive impact on young lives.”

Halee Hildebran

Halee, the new Program Coordinator for BBBS Burke County, has a background in early childhood education and extensive experience working with children and families in after-school and preschool settings. For 13 years, she was Burke County Public Library’s youth services program coordinator. Actively involved in the children’s ministry at First United Methodist Church in Morganton, she is pursuing a degree in psychology at Greensboro College.

“My personal experiences with my son’s special needs have fueled my passion for supporting families through challenges,” she said. “Having lived in Burke County my entire life, I’m excited to strengthen connections and work with the community I hold dear.”
