BBBS Polk and Rutherford Counties had a fabulous time March 16 at Super Saturday in Tryon. High School Big Sister Kylie, Big Sister Jessica, Big Sister Brooke and her Little Sister Lexi painted hundreds of faces. Council member Lynne came out and lent a hand during the morning rush. We enjoyed seeing several Littles who said hi and got their faces painted.
“I talked with so many people and kids,” Program Coordinator Jessica Toney said. “We recruited multiple high school students. Our mental health calming strips and stress-relieving fidget zipper bracelets were a huge hit. Two people who are therapists and social workers were pleased and impressed at our focus on mental health.”
