Food tasting panel as a match activity!
Event Details
Bigs and Littles, MANNA FoodBank in Asheville is looking for some awesome volunteers between the ages of 8 and 11 to participate in a food-tasting panel!
For this match activity, Littles and their Bigs will go to MANNA’s Asheville location – 627 Swannanoa River Road – on Friday Aug. 19 from 1-3 p.m. Littles will participate in the tasting panel, and provide feedback via simple rating sheets. During this time, Bigs will help out in the volunteer center.
MANNA’s nutrition team will also teach a healthy eating lesson plan, and students will all go home with a backpack full of their favorite foods from the tasting panel.
Only 10 Littles will get to participate, so reach out now to your match support coordinator to RSVP by Monday, Aug. 15 for this awesome community service event that will help kids all over WNC go back to school with access to healthy and tasty food.
Volunteer Details:
- All participants must wear close-toed shoes.
- All participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- All Bigs will need to sign and submit a liability waiver (since this event takes place in a warehouse setting).
