We have a lot of new matches to celebrate this holiday season!

We are thrilled for this new match made recently in our latest push into Western North Carolina – Avery, McDowell, Mitchell, and Yancey counties. Big Sister Sam and Little Sister Anala of McDowell County, above, are so excited to hike together and share a love of Twizzlers and Harry Potter! Welcome to the #bbbswnc family and congratulations to being one of the first of many matches in our “AMY” counties!

In mid-October, BBBS Cherokee County matched Big Brother Ty with Little Brother Gabe, who attends Murphy Elementary School. They both enjoy sports, and Ty, a student at Murphy High School, is hoping Gabe will be able to come to one of his football games soon! Many branches like Cherokee have High School Big programs that match older students with elementary school students. To find out if your county has a High School Bigs program, check the branches at the bottom of bbbswnc.org.

Newly matched in Henderson County, Little Sister Breanna and Big Sister Ashlynn are excited to do arts and crafts, play with stuffed animals, and just talk! They have already painted pumpkins and made bracelets together. They both love to read and love to learn.

BBBS Cashiers & Highlands welcomes its newest match – Big Brother David and Little Brother Ty. They are excited to play sports, ride bikes and spend time together!

In Buncombe, Big Brother Daniel and Little Brother Datrion are looking forward to playing sports, seeing movies, and going on adventures. Daniel is looking forward to attending some of Datrion’s basketball games this season. Also in Buncombe, Little Brother Jesse Roan and Big Brother Renick, below, are looking forward to dog walking, zip lining, snow tubing, and wall climbing, as well as spending time out in nature.
