Bowl For Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ signature fundraiser. Each year, half a million people across America come together to have fun and raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters as we expand what’s possible for youth!
Bowl For Kids’ Sake is the perfect way for individuals to make an impact on our community—and it only takes a little bit of effort to raise the money Big Brothers Big Sisters of WNC needs to serve over 2,000 regional youth each year.
During the Fall of 2017 and Spring of 2018, six of our area branches will be hosting bowl for kids sake events, giving you plenty of opportunities to get involved by donating or registering a team to support our youth!
For more details about how to sign up and bowl in your local region, click on the link below.
How to participate
Step 1: Choose the BBBS Branch whose event you want to participate and download a registration form PDF from their Bowl For Kids Sake Page.
Step 2: Round up 4-5 friends to join you on a bowling team! Register a team for a bowling time by calling, scanning and emailing or mailing your registration form to the branch office you’ll be bowling for.
Step 3: Raiser funds before the event to support Big Brothers Big Sisters programs in your local county! Each bowler raises a minimum of $50 to participate.
You can raise funds by downloading a Donation Form for cataloguing your sponsors and donations OR set up an account for online fundraising (details on your specific Branch’s BFKS page).
Step 4: Remind your team members the event date and your team’s bowling time. Encourage them in their fundraising efforts!
Step 5: Bring the money you’ve raiser to the event! A list of donations you raised online will be at the check-in table at the event. Each bowler who raises at least $50 will received a free t-shirt, free pizza and will be entered to win cool door prizes!
How Your Donation Helps
The Big Brothers Big Sisters agency depends on donations to enroll volunteers—including background checks to ensure child safety—to enroll youth and families, to match Bigs and Littles and to provide ongoing professional support for children, families and volunteers. Our matching and support process is designed to build and sustain long-lasting relationships in all of our three programs.
Your power as a donor to expand horizons, aspirations and positively change the lives of local youth cannot be overstated! Thank you so much for starting something big in WNC.
